Welcome to SurfX
These Terms of Service govern your use of surfxapp.com and the SurfX mobile app, both operated by Surf X Digital and Services ("SurfX," "we," "us"). By using SurfX, you agree to these terms.
Who can use SurfX
You must be at least 13 years old to create a SurfX account. If you're under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. Some bookings (water sports, alcohol-licensed venues, certain hotel pools) have higher minimum ages set by the venue itself — we'll show those at the point of booking.
You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up, and to keep your account credentials confidential. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
What SurfX is (and isn't)
SurfX is a discovery and booking platform. We aggregate venues — beach clubs, water sports operators, hotel day passes, and other lifestyle experiences in Qatar — and let you browse, book, and pay in one place.
We're a facilitator, not the venue. The actual experience (the pool, the wakeboard session, the cabana) is delivered by the third-party venue. SurfX is not responsible for the on-site service, cleanliness, safety equipment, or staff conduct of any venue. Each venue sets its own rules, opening hours, age limits, dress code, and cancellation policy, and you agree to follow them when you visit.
Bookings, pricing, and cancellations
Prices and availability shown in the app are provided by the venues and can change. We'll always display the price you'll pay before you confirm a booking.
Cancellation rules are set by each venue and shown at booking. If a venue cancels on you, we'll process a refund through the original payment method. If you no-show or cancel outside the venue's window, the venue's policy applies.
If something goes wrong with a booking, contact us at hello@surfxapp.com and we'll help mediate with the venue.
Acceptable use
When using SurfX, you agree not to:
- Misuse the platform — no fraudulent bookings, no scraping, no reverse-engineering the app.
- Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Impersonate someone else or create accounts under false pretences.
- Use SurfX in any way that interferes with its operation, security, or other users.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Your content
If you upload photos, reviews, or other content to SurfX, you keep ownership of it. By uploading, you grant SurfX a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content within the platform — for example, showing your review next to the venue you reviewed. You can delete your content at any time, which ends the licence going forward.
You're responsible for the content you upload. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
Our intellectual property
The SurfX brand, logo, app design, written content, and any related trademarks are owned by Surf X Digital and Services. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without permission, except for normal use of the app and website.
Disclaimers and liability
SurfX is provided "as is." We work hard to make the platform reliable, but we don't promise it'll be error-free or available without interruption. We're not responsible for what happens at venues — including injuries, property loss, or service disputes. Activities like wakeboarding and water sports carry inherent risks; you take part at your own risk and follow the venue's safety briefings.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for anything related to SurfX is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose.
Termination
You can stop using SurfX or delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion. Sections that should survive termination (intellectual property, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Qatar.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged in the app or by email. Continued use after the update means you accept the new terms.
